Meet my favorite souvenir, this modern version of a traditional pinguino, a wine carafe in the shape of a penguin historically used to serve the house wine. In this day and age of quality Argentina wines, I only saw them being used in a restaurant one time, ironically on the very first day I was there, and then never again. Why a penguin? No reason other than Argentina is home to four species of the bird, and the people love them. So why not?

Penguins and Wine
Meet my favorite souvenir, this modern version of a traditional pinguino, a wine carafe in the shape of a penguin historically used to serve the house wine. In this day and age of quality Argentina wines, I only saw them being used in a restaurant one time, ironically on the very first day I was there, and then never again. Why a penguin? No reason other than Argentina is home to four species of the bird, and the people love them. So why not?
